Default Help! Obsessed with all things pregnancy/baby related.

Hubby and I are not ttc until late next year for financial reasons, however I cannot help but research EVERYTHING pregnancy, birth, baby or parent related. I feel like I'm going crazy but I can't seem to help myself. Am I nuts or do lots of people go through this? I want to be prepared and find it exciting (sometimes overwhelming) knowing all this information, like maybe it makes ttc seem closer or something?

Completely normal, you are very clucky!!

Just a word of caution, please remember your experience will be unique to you. So don't have any expectation of how things will be for you, keep an open mind and don't be disheartened if things don't go as they are meant to, because there is no prescription for life.

I'm obsessed with researching anything and everything! I can only think it would be helpful for you, especially TTC - there is a fair bit about that I wish I had researched in advance.

I was the same, and I won't lie... it added a lot of pressure and stress to us when TTC. Try and take everything as it comes every TTC journey, pregnancy and birth are different.

I enjoyed researching about everything related to TTC, pregnancy and birth before getting pregnant with my first. I think it's fine and an enjoyable time. Now I'm enjoying reading "mommy" stuff (spelling intentional as a lot of the articles tend to be American), and I think that's normal.

Haha I was like this too. I figured there was so much to know in regards to pregnancy and babies that I may as well get a head start in learning it all!
That said, my birth was still nothing at all like I expected, and there's still been plenty of times where I've had no idea what DS is doing or how to deal with him…
But I've also impressed DP a few times with my occasional encyclopaedic knowledge of useful baby stuff
