Default IS there any hope? HCG levels. Please help.

I believe I am 7 weeks but could be 6 weeks. I had a scan on Friday which showed an empty sak measuring 6 weeks. They said it COULD be too early to tell so have bloods and see if hcg is rising.

I had my Hcg measured on Sat morning and today (monday) morning. It went from 7600 to 8400.

I am fairly certain this means I am likely to miscarry. Any thoughts?

Hi Acer. Those numbers would suggest your Hcg is doubling every 332 hours. Over 6000 it takes over 96 hours.

I don't know much about It though. Only what the chart tells me.

Fingers crossed it all works out for you.

me either. I have no idea about natural miscarriages/ d and c's. I might need to do some research.

With regards to miscarriges, she said to let nature take its course but i go overseas for 5 days in a few days so that puts a different perspective on things.

I don't have much advice but the usual course of action would be to schedule another scan for a week or two later and check for growth so I would schedule a scan for when you get back from overseas.

My levels are much lower but also slow rising.
    10/9 - 45
    15/9 - 220
    17/9 - 348
    20/9 - 500
    22/9 - 561

I was in hospital for a few days due to it being suspected ectopic. I am 100% sure it's over but the gyno I saw said miracles can happen while the numbers are still increasing....this is why they have stopped bloods for me and will now do follow up scans, I definitely think they should be doing another one for you. I am also waiting to miscarry naturally, it would be so much worse for you with the overseas trip though. If you could get a scan to show no chance of viability they might do a D&C rather than you waiting, but I think you still get pain and bleeding with that...

    hi
yeah i had a scan with a specialist and it is a failed pregnancy so I'm waiting for things to happen naturally and if there's nothing in a week or 2 I'll schedule a d and c.
Hugs to you. It's such an emotional roller-coaster from the excitement of finding out to this. Have some yummy chocolates and a nice glass of red.

I'm sorry it wasn't good news Acer. Be kind to yourself. Fingers crossed your sticky bub is just around the corner.
