Thumbs up All new to this Pregnancy thing :)

    Hi all,
Mandy here, i'm very new to all of this pregnancy stuff, only found out yesterday i am pregnant, visited my doctor today and she has predited im about 5 and 1/2 weeks. Just wondering if anyone has any advice for me?
Also wondering what happens now? She mentioned she has referred me to my local hospital, and has given me forms for a scan at 11 weeks. Will the hospital get into contact with me now for appointments? I'm assuming ill need appointments to check things are ok before the 11 week scan right?
Sorry, as i said... very new and open to any help!

    Congratulations on your pregnancy! Wonderful.

Your doctor can refer you for a dating scan at around 7 weeks so you can use that as your estimated due date. Then if you want you can have a NT scan to check for Down syndrome etc. that scan is usually done at 11-13 weeks and needs to have bloods done around 5 days before the scan.

Then a scan at around 20 weeks to check bubs is growing well (good opportunity to find out gender).
