Default Experience using pill to normalize periods

I have an implanon in my arm. Have for years now, this is my second. Been getting period all over the place and finally had enough. Doctor has given me 2 months worse of pills to use to help get them regular. I'm just looking for hope, has this worked for anyone? Had it not worked?
    Tia.

Mine are like clockwork when I'm on the pill. I've just started taking it again because my cycles were all over the place.

It seems to be working for now but I'm worried once I finish the packs it will go back to the way it was. I did ask him to just take it out but he said to try this first

Well, in my experience, my cycles deregulate within a few months of being off the pill and that's after taking it longer than 2 months.
You can only try? If you find that you remember to take your pill everyday and that your cycles go haywire again after stopping it, I'd have the implanon removed and switch to the pill.
