Everyone is different. If YOU like it, use it. Its not important what others think or prefer.
Not something i would use but thats my preference not yours

I think if you change the spelling so it looks less like Jamaica with an N then it could be passable.
If you love it and your partner loves it then go for it. Honestly, there's always going to be hate for some names...I named one of my kids a made up name which is against the rules of bh...but IRL all I get is comments about how beautiful it is and it is spelled phonetically, another huge no no in BH land, but I find people guess how to spell it right all the time....and, despite her made up name, there are two with the same name (and spelling!) in her school.

My nephew has a very real, well known name and I HATE it with a passion. Hate, hate, hate it. I hated it so much that for the first two years I couldn't bring myself to call him by his name because it just sounded so wrong in my head. But now he's 6 and that's just who he is, and I don't give his name a second thought anymore.

I assumed they rhymed with Jamaica and I also thought they were for a girl... Not a fan

Don't cast it aside, just because of what some strangers say on the internet. This is a name that you have to say for the rest of your life. Make sure that it is something that YOU love.

How about trying to play around with the spelling a bit more. Neymicah? Nymicah? The last one might be pronounced Ni-my-cah, but I still don't mind it that way.
