@Bongley - men! Seriously we all need to keep them in line sometimes. I need to have a tanty sometimes too just so they remember what a big thing is that we're going through!

@KayzB - thanks hub. Im waiting to hear back from the nurse and see what she says. Not sure if she'll change the dose or continue as usual. I'm guessing I'll have a scan on thu?

@straycat - one grew from 4-17mm and the other from 11-17mm from day 5 - day 9. So it's a bit random! I hope we can get the little 13mm over the line!

Thanks @MrsChino. That does give me some hope although I'm on day 9 already. I hope my day 11 scan is ok for me to go ahead with epu. Don't want this to be a cancelled cycle

Hi ladies. Sorry I've been MIA for a while & now its a bit hard to go back & see all the comments. But so sorry for the bfn's and congrats for bfp's. And good luck for everyone in between! Gee ivf is such a mental & physical rollercoaster!
So I'm hoping for some advice.... went to Dr last week as I'd been sick (tummy bug type sick) on & off for 2 weeks & she thinks I have giardia. On special antibiotics for a week (took last 1 yest). I'm currently cd7 & was going to do fet this month. Fs said its OK to still do it. But I've lost a bit of weight & a bit run down & don't know whether its worth it if I'm not 100%. My acupuncturist says not to cos my body is not strong enough. I'm stuck sick of going back & forth in my head about what to do....

hi @apolly if you have a very good FS and you trust them then listen to what they advise, they do not want you to have a bad cycle as it reflects badly on them and the clinic which is why they sometimes are a little strict and are often the first to want to cancel cycles so then on their books its not a failed cycle but a cancelled one - affects their stats and ability to attract more patients.
@Gelati they grow a LOT in 2 days

@hawknest I was bf my dd but my fs made me stop before I started cycling again. I was sad to stop and kind of regret it as I'm now in my third cycle since and could of fed for longer as she was not ready to give it up. Having said that thou she hasn't been negatively effected just sad.
@Ladydee hope your keeping sane with the waiting. When's ur bt?

    Hi Everyone,

    Im new to this

This is my first IVF Cycle and its a bad start! Im 28, ttc naturally for almost 2 years, mild endo and DH has borderline good sperm. We got 9 eggs, 7 mature and only 2 fertilised. Only one has half a chance of making it to day 5. its Day 4 and transfer is scheduled for tomorrow if its going ahead. Im with genea and its protocol that they dont check the embryo today on Day 4 and we have to wait till tomorrow.

On day 3, my enbryo was a 5 cells and a Grade 2. It is suppoed to be at least 7-9 cells on Day 3.

next time were going to do ICSI. Does anyone have a simliar story to me with poor fertilization rates and then got better rates with ICSI?

@Pregnancyhopes welcome hun, FX your lil emby is still fighting strong for tomorrow 😊
We've always had to do ICSI so unfortunately can't provide a comparison in fert rates. Best of luck xx

Welcome @Pregnancyhopes like @KayzB I've only done icsi so don't have anything to compare too however DH also has borderline swimmers and our FS recommended going straight to ICSI as he was concerned about the exact issue you are facing. on the up side, when we did our isci cycle we had 8 mature eggs, 7 fertilized and 5 made it to day 5 (fresh transfer = early m/c, 4 frostys, about to have first FET)

Cos I have AF naturally and am at 7th for this year my fx said I can keep feeding. but just to pump and dump immediately after the jab and if my levels aren't good he'll make me stop. My DS doesn't/won't take a bottle but has been known to take EBM from his sippy cup. So I am not worried just sad if it doesn't turn out and am keen on some info of it really is safe. I think I'll hit up aba

I'm so sorry @Bongley this process is hard enough as it is without our partners being average. He's probably as disappointed as you but the only way he can show it is by acting up like a pouty kid. Maybe once you have both calmed down a gentle chat will help?

Don't stress out yet @Gelati early days yet! What has the nurse said?

Well. I've got an ET time of 10.15 on Thursday. Keep swaying between wildly optimistic and really pessimistic. Guess I'd better get used to is as have two more weeks before anything changes!
