    I'm fasting today
    I've done consecutive days and it's not too hard. The afternoon of the second day is the toughest, so I just make sure to eat dinner about 5pm. Also the second day I usually wake up needing something in my tummy so I will have a banana or yoghurt as soon and I get up, when I would normally not eat anything until 2pm on the first day.

    You can always see how you go and if it's too hard, change days. That's the beauty of 5:2

    Friday is my day. I figure it doesn't matter what day you pick it all evens out in the end. It might only make a difference the first week, but after that I don't really see how it would matter ..
    Dh has made me paranoid about it. He reckons it's cheating to weigh yourself first thing in the morning, because you're picking that time to get the lowest weight. Whereas I think it's just the time you'll get the most consistent weight.

    Although that might not be true anyway , if it doesn't work that way for you @3bubbys!

    I enjoy seeing my lowest weight the day after a fast and then expect it to be a little bit more after a feast day (maybe 300-500g more).

    Today I am having:
    A mango
    Cup a soup
    Tuna and lettuce salad
    Maybe Hummus dip with carrot tonight

    Welcome! I did my first fast ystdy and I was just nicely hungry this morning. I agree with Jade, i needed brekie this morning ( though I'm not fasting today).

    You could always do a 6:1 to start with, or fast until lunch on the second day. I don't think there's any hard and fast rules, basically you're squeezing a calorie deficit into a day or two instead of spreading it out over the week. Do you work 5 days a week? It might be hard to consistently fast on weekends. Although I hear the fasting gets easier after a couple of weeks anyway...

    I do my fasting on Mondays and Thursday and I weigh in on Wednesdays. I figure that gives me a good reflection of what my real loss is cause I've had a normal day in between fasting and weighing. Also it gives me motivation for the fast day the next day lol.

    Feels good to crack a barrier! Weight in the high 80s instead of low 90s

    Hi all, I hope everyone had a nice weekend. I'm going to port Douglas next week so I'm planning to fast 3 days this week, today, Wednesday and Friday. Wish me luck!
