I am, I think it is good, sad though - and scary. I know it says that it isn't based on real life events - but we all know what the Catholic church has put the victims of abuse through time and time again -so even if it isn't based on actual true events - it is very close to the truth.

What do you think @purpleflowers ?

A distinctive Australian drama made exclusively for Foxtel, Devil's Playground premieres Tuesday, Sep 9 at 8.30pm on showcase.

The year is 1988. Tom Allen, now in his 40s and recently widowed, is a respected Sydney psychiatrist and father of two children. A practising Catholic, Tom accepts an offer by the Bishop of Sydney to become a counsellor of priests. During these sessions, he will uncover a scandal and become embroiled in the Church's attempts to cover it up. Tom's quest for justice will push him to his limits, and reveal a side of Church power and official corruption he could never have imagined.

Devil's Playground is set 35 years after the events of Fred Schepisi's classic film of the same name, and features a high calibre cast including Simon Burke (returning to his role as Tom Allen), Don Hany, John Noble, Toni Collette, Andrew McFarlane, Anna Lise Phillips, Leon Ford, Matt Levett, Max Cullen and Jack Thompson.
