    Personally, I'd be very reluctant to give up two days paid work (and chew up my valuable leave) and be away from my dd overnight for a wedding of anyone less than a very close friend or relative.

    Whether or not you were on the b list is irrelevant, as you were actually invited and that's what counts. I think you need to ask yourself if the hassle of attending is really worth it to you.

    Wow thanks for all the replies! I've been trying to talk to dh, and he just won't engage the topic, he doesn't care if we go or not. This is what I needed to hear, just get the hell over it, it doesn't matter where on the list I was. While we aren't very close right now that doesn't mean we won't be again in the future.
