Also, when she needs a big ticket item she gets that plus the rest. So, some years the spend could be $300.

Depends on the value, we usually spend about $300 on gifts (a main present an a couple of small things) then there is the party and party outfit!

Depends. Our oldest 3 are all within a month of each other ( dd1 and dd2 in July, dd3 start of august). This year dd2 got nothing except an $8 stuffed unicorn she picked herself, dd1 got a box set of dr seuss books and dd3 got nothing. But I made them a cake on each of their birthdays and they got to pick a special dinner each. And we had a combined party for them with family.

Some years they get spoilt rotten. We always do something special to celebrate on each of their birthdays and have a combined party with family to celebrate.

Depends on what he is interested in at the time. This year was minecraft so got a heap of mincraft stuff plus a mini family and a few of my girlfriends who came over to celebrate. Some years he will get more spent on him than others but it all goes down to what he is interested in at the time.

DS recently turned 3 and he got about 6 items for about $250 all up. But I do a cull of toys through out the year and sell on gumtree then put that money aside to put toward the new gifts (my way of recycling).

A small battery 4-wheeler from the target sale, a huge digger truck from the big w sale, 10 38cm superhero plush figures with plastic faces (superman etc) and 5 batmobile cars.

The superhero dolls were $175 alone and hoping they are worth it.

We are on 1/2 acre so have plenty of room for him to (slowly) zoom around!!
Got the superhero dolls from a Facebook page called Learning Minds.
We are having a superhero themed party also! We have a Batman and Batgirl party entertainers coming.

What have you got your DS?

DH is taking him to the monster truck show the night before his birthday so target had that huge remote control monster truck in the toy sale so I bought that, the thor hammer, wolverine claws, hulk costume, captain america costume and a transformers truck with transformers but I also wanted to get him some of those super hero mashers ( he already has a few) and some fishing stuff as we just bought a boat but DH thinks we should keep those for Xmas
