Default Have you had vaginal prolapse ?

I thought I felt a bit funny down there, and the gp just confirmed I've had a vag. prolapse. I have made a gynae appointment but I'm not sure what to expect. I'd love to hear some experiences of anyone would like to share? tia

I haven't but have seen a few threads on here about it. Although my pelvic floor feels very ordinary at the moment.

I hope that she doesn't mind me tagging her but I'm fairly sure @Mmumm has had one and had it repaired

Mines not classed as a prolapse but I have a slight drop of my bladder (cystocele) into walls about 1.5cm in.
I had a vaginal birth 5.5 months ago
I have had physio through outpatients at hospital 3 times. And no more visits
My pelvic floor was pretty crap so will need to do kegels daily forever to try and prevent a proper prolapse
The kegals may or may not make the bladder rise in the future so I may be left with this cystocele forever
It only bothers me when I'm 'wetter' eg: my body pp has obviously been trying to o'd several times since birth, so when I have ewcm and I can sometimes feel it in there. But other 'dryer' days it's fine
These days there is surgery that can be done to help. They usually don't do this until 12 months after last baby

Oh and when you go to the gyne, she/he will put fingers in vagina to feel for your strength and assess what type of prolapse it is.
I think if is out the opening with or without coughing then it's classed as a prolapse
Apparently once ceasing bf it can rise more

I was told to avoid too much heavy lifting, no squatting on floor , only on knees and to 3 sets of 10 pelvic floors for 10 secs each standing up, as to prevent a proper prolapse
