Thanks everyone for your support and advice. It has given me strength to stay put. He is the one not wanting to do anything so I shouldnt be the one to run away.
I have already been trying to find work but will start trying harder and hopefully I will have one by the time the house sells.
The only big asset we have is a caravan which I know will be a cause for an argument. I have already suggested we sell it and split money but he says no as it was his bday present. My name isnt on the rego though

Im sure it will work itself out but I hate making the decision and then not doing anything. Our house has to have a few repairs and that will take months.

Im glad youve decided that. Im pretty sure you can apply for single parent living under the same roof. Just an idea to help get $$ behind you before you move out.

Maybe suggest he lives in the caravan. At least half the caravan money is yours. Just because it's in his name it doesn't mean squat. I would suggest you get some legal advice and get in touch with your local women's service. He sounds like a bit of a bully and it wouldn't be fair for you to miss out on your entitlements because of him. Don't move out of the family home! And big hugs to you x

Correct and he doesn't need to know this.
