Cleo, if your DS likes zuchini try giving him some steamed fingers of that. My lil man couldnt get enough of them for dinner. Feel like doing a little victory dance. This is the most he ate in a whole week.

BLW is so much fun. I love seeing DSs confidence grow when we praise him for being such a good boy and clap hands.

He wasn't great with the avo but i will try again, I gave him a lamb cutlet tonight. He loved it.
I was so paranoid he was going to bite a chunck of it and choke so I watched him like a hawk.
I then put mashed potato on the bone to see if he would eat it, I think he had had enough.

What yogurt do you guys use? I bought some baby valia today but it has sugar in it and I thought they were meant to be sugar free until 2yo??

Stay away from any food that says it's for kids! I used plain jalna , plain Greek yogurt and organic goats yogurt and just added my own fruit

I just buy plain Greek yogurt and add fruit purée or mash a banana or papaya or peach into it--he loves it. So much baby stuff has sugar in it!

Give everything from 6 months - unless there are allergies in the family , goat yogurt was the 2nd thing he ate - I gave him a cucumber stick and dipped it in the yogurt and he loved it (messy but fun!)
After 6 months their digestive systems can handle all foods except honey as they don't have the microorganisms in their gut until about 12 months to handle botulisim spores if there are any in the honey but yes shellfish, fish, eggs, nuts ( butters not whole) strawberries, meats and dairy ( not milk as a drink under 1) is fine

Hehe, Look at his big smile!! Good boy!

    What a cutie.

The thing about banana it's so slippery after a while even with the skin on it keeps slipping from DSs fingers.

must admit I bought the baby valia too, not realizing about the sugar either. must remind myself to read more labels when shopping.

We've had some interesting nappies too, i know TMI,

I will see if I can post a pic maybe later when he's having lunch
