    Default Breastfeeding help

I have started this thread in the breastfeeding support section but I thought it might get more responses here.

Miss 4 months is exclusively bf. For the past few days she's been screaming, refusing to latch on, arching her neck and trying to throw herself backwards.
Once she eventually latches on and my milk lets down she's ok.

She's otherwise happy and healthy. I can't work out what's going on.

I'm not sure, but at four months it may pass pretty quickly just a thing for now, how long she be doing it? Had you eaten any weird foods/drinks/medicine that could've made your milk taste different! ? ?

She's only been doing it for a few days. I haven't eaten anything different that I can think of.

Maybe try hand expressing a little first so that she gets your let down straight away?

DD did this at about the same age. I don't have any advice for now, but it did pass rather quickly. Hold in there!

She could be teething. It can hurt their gums when they try to suck if teeth are close to breaking through. My bubs did this about this age.

My DD did the EXACT same thing at 4 months. She was mainly refusing one side though so I would football hold on that side to fool her. Just be patient with her - if she's hungry she will drink eventually. I know is so frustrating and I got so upset but we came out the other side and she's still bf at 1.
