Default Lost/stolen credit card - will I get my money back?

I've only just checked our account this morning and realised nearly $3000 has been used on google zinga gaming credits!

I stupidly put it in my back pocket over the weekend to give it to my husband when I saw him and I completely forgot 😩 So it must have fallen out and some loser is using it to buy more freakin' chickens in FarmVille!!

My husband has cancelled it now but what happens next? We've never had this happen before.
Will we get our money back? I've tried to look at the banks website but can't find anything.

    Thanks.

It may depend on your pin. Some banks won't be liable if certain PIN numbers are used (eg dates of birth). But definitely ask.

Presumably they used online transactions? If so, you should be covered. Fill in a disputed transaction form. Unfortunately it can take about a month to get your money back while they investigate.

We had over $25,000 taken from a commonwealth credit card and it was all refunded, it took about 3 weeks. So you should get it all back.

Good luck! Whoever stole your credit card are di@kheads. Assuming they are using a smart phone to play the games if the bank want to take it further the cops could probably trace them.

Someone used my NAB visa a few weeks ago to buy themselves a whole new Spring wardrobe online from the Iconic.
    NAB has refunded in full

My sympathies, it's a horrible feeling isn't it.

Oh thats terrible,... I know i had a smiliar thing happen with NAB and they refunded the money.. I also bought some items online and the fraud dept immediately stopped my card as they saw it was not a usual transaction for me... in was a PITA but at least they were on the ball and it was flagged as an unusual purchase....

Best of luck getting the $ back
