Default Transition out of 'love to dream' swaddle

DS is 6.5months n still sleeps with his love to dream 50/50 swaddle. He is not rolling n my mum keeps telling me to put him in a sleeping bag so he can move his arms n learn to roll....
I've tried in several occasions to have one arm out n he can't get to sleep. How have ppl transitioned out of the live to dream swaddle?? It seems easier said than done.....
I'd really like him in a sleeping bad before the heat starts up in Spring

    Thanks in advance

Subbing as dd is 5 months and loves her swaddle suit... One day she'll have to be transitioned out of it.

I just used the 50/50. One arm out for, I think about 5 days (maybe a week), and then the other arm. It takes a couple sleeps but he quickly got used to one arm out and by the time I did the second he didn't seemed fussed.

Also, he had a comforter, so something to keep the free hand 'busy' until he fell asleep.

I used the Love to Swaddle Up 50/50 for my little man and started by taking one arm out for his day sleeps, it took around 3 days until he became used to it and settled easier. I then transitioned him to both arms out at night time 4 days after starting the process. The 50/50 is great, and your bub will adjust they all just do it in their own time.

I also started with day sleeps first, one arm at a time. DS decided to start rolling mid week so I never got to fully transition him and had to go the rest of the week cold turkey day and night. This really messed with his sleeping. If I could do it again I would definitely try and transition earlier to save the trouble it caused with him trying to get used to sleeping that way. He literally went from not interested in rolling, to doing it every time I put him in his back and after every sleep cycle when in his cot. GL x

P.S. Loved these swaddles! So good.
