Default Healthy eating weightloss support thread

Does anyone want to join me on my healthy eating/ weightloss journey??

I had that moment where I looked in the mirror and felt completly disgusted in what I saw looking back and I've decided its time for a change.

Would be nice to have a place to chat and support one another during it all..... anyone keen???

Sure! I'll join you. It won't be today though as I've just been to the shops and bought my weight in crap after the last few days :-) I'm terrible at the moment, absolutely no self control no matter what I do. So, I'll try anything at the moment.

What are you referring to specifically when you say 'healthy eating'?

I started 6 weeks ago. I have lost 4 kgs and 20cm from my body already! I still have a long way to go, but I definitely wish I started earlier!

    I'm in

Not sure if anyone's read my weightloss journal, but I'm now doing body building training looking to possibly compete in a bikini competition in May next year.

It's a completely different style of diet/training for me, and I'm quite enjoying it! I count Macros rather than colories (protein, fat and carbs) and am eating quite a lot of food, around 1805 calories. I'm also only doing weights now and only incidental cardio! Crazy

The weight loss is going to be much slower than it normally is for me (I normally would do 1200cal and cardio all day every day) but hopefully I will stick to it this time and not put it all back on!

This is my 2nd week. 1 week results were that I lost 400g and all of my measurments went down, including 4cm off my waist. Pretty excited

I'd like to join as well please Have been trying to eat better recently (less rubbish/sugar & more fruit/veg. Although this coming month will be crazy & test my resolution (especially on the weekends) due to several birthdays, a hens & a baby shower to attend with usual cake/drinks etc.

Am struggling at the moment with low energy throughout the day

I read your body building journal @CazHazKidz - what an awesome challenge to do for yourself!

I'd love to be able to do a fun-run next year. If I don't get utd (we're ttc) I want to run the mothers day classic 10km next year.

Me too please! DP and I are struggling at the moment too. We don't have too much weight to lose but would like to lose a little! I would love to feel healthier and a little better about myself.

In in! Weighed myself this morning and I'm the heaviest I have ever been
I've felt absolutely awful all day, and I'm so mad at myself cause I never stick to my healthy eating. I do it for a week or two, see a couple of kgs drop then I get complaisant.

I'm off to melbourne on Thursday for a two day work do, and I know there will be excessive alcohol, but I feel determined to enjoy myself but not go over board, will be starting proper on Monday, although have booked in for 4 classes at the gym before then.

This time I have to do it! I want to shift 5kg in the next 4-6 weeks and then aim for another 5kgs.

@CazHazKidz I read your thread. Huge commitment, but what a body to have! Interesting, a trainer I was talking to at my gym told me I should be doing more strength and toning than cardio.

If you're aiming to lose fat, then 90% of it will be diet. Strength just ensures you've god a nice body underneath once the fat is gone Not that cardio isn't good for you...

Hi I'll join in I started ww yesterday just at home with old program books I've already got.

I weighed in with a starting weight of 74.6kg :/ (I was 66 kg a couple of years ago).

I'm heading to the gym this arvo - I've already prepped dinner and I feel pretty good

I'm aiming to lose between 10-15kg.
