Would anyone happen to know the waiting times for Paid parental leave to be processed by centrelink? (Just trying to avoid a phone call)
We lodged our documents on august 27th and haven't received any correspondence, but the lady said we should start receiving payments within the fortnight... I know it took about eight weeks last time, so I thought she could be wrong?!?

I there, mine took about 3 weeks to start but I know from other threads that some ladies have waited 6-8 weeks (even 10 weeks) for their payments to start. I guess it just depends on how busy they are?! May be leave it another week and then call to enquire. All the best x

Mine took about 2 weeks after proving DSs birth. I'd give it a little time. They do back date it to when bub was born.

It's always horrible having to call them. I find it so much easier to just go in. Then you get the answer u want straight away lol

I think mine took about 3 weeks to be processed; and was backdated to the date I put the application in.

I lodged my docs in person at centrelink on 20th June & my payments started on 1st August. Got back paid for 6 weeks in the first payment but would have preferred to be receiving regular payments from the beginning.
