Are you in an area where you can get GP home visits? You could call and get someone to come tonight if you are.
    Good luck.

Coconut oil will hopefully soothe it enough till you can get to the dr's for something else.

    Good luck.

My DD2 used to suffer badly until we found dairy is her eczema trigger now she doesnt get it anymore just dry skin which a good moisturiser fixes easily

For immediate relief, cold compress and ice packs are amazing (speaking from experience as an eczema sufferer). If you can get to chemist tmrw, sorbolene is great, and dermaid which you can get OTC.

You can put the coconut oil in the bath too so he comes out 'pre-oiled'

My DS has it bad, it comes and goes, the only thing that really helps is a course or cortisone cream, we try and avoid it as much as we can and use a really think coat of sorbelene after his bath & in the morning but if it gets out if control we go to doc for cortisone.... I've got an appointment with a specialist in a couple of weeks to hopefully fund out what's causing it...

Good luck hope you get some sleep!

If your ex refuses to use any cream or oil (well he is stupid but besides that) try to convince him to reduce how often your son showers/baths. The water and soaps dry the skin too much if you don't add moisture as well.
As a longer term thing.... Eczema is really often related to gut health. Look for some good probiotics with lots of strains and maybe start looking at a diet overhaul. Again if the ex refuses to use anything topical he still might be ok with the probiotics.
    Good luck

Default Home Remedies for Eczema? Urgent!!

Thanks everyone. We watched some play school together last night til DS calmed down, then the only way he would sleep is lying across the bed with his head on my tummy, so I only dozed. He woke at 6, so 5 hours later, so I wheeled him out in his crib in front of the tv so I could get a couple of hours.

Well, of course such selfish behaviour warrants punishment. I just got up to see DS had poo everywhere - down his legs, on his hands, on the teat of his bottle *shudder*, on his sheets and on the ****ing wall. So I cried and told him I hate him. I went and cleaned him up and put a load of washing on, then looked and realised I had poo all over my pants and my machine is one of those stupid ones that you can't open after it's started.

So I'm sitting in the kitchen in my knickers crying and seriously contemplating getting a taxi to Woolies and starting smoking again. I think Sugar Free September has just officially gone down the drain.
