    2. I am fully functional in my everyday life (as well as anyone is, anyway).

    3. I use the pregnancy loss forum to describe how I feel to a group of people who understand. Sometimes these feelings are not reasonable or rational. You ladies make me feel better and I cannot thank you enough for that.

    4. The term 'spare heir' is used by royal watchers to describe the second in line to the throne. It's tongue in cheek. Prince Harry has been called that for years but has now been debunked by the impending royal bundle of joy. If you look at the British newspapers you will find the term. I apologise if the term offends anyone, but you should be prepared to be offended many times in the upcoming months by various news outlets, if that is the case.
Hi Sally1981, good on you for having a rant. You are doing the best thing for yourself in externalising the grieving and not letting it swallow you up. Those of us with maturity and sensitivity can see your post for exactly what it is, a rant from a hurting soul. You are simply saying something that countless grieving mothers have felt before, reminders of milestones suck. It brings that pain straight to the surface! You're not alone with those feelings. This section is for exactly that... loss and SUPPORT.

I truly do sympathies here. I can totally see how this is a painful thing.... Cos let's face it, it'll be all over the news and magazines continually and even more so in March. These are totally normal and justified feelings and no one should be dismissing or de-validating them.

@Sally1981 I'm so sorry for your loss. I too had a baby due in April and totally understand how you're feeling.

When Prince George was on the way the first time around was when I was first finding out about DH and I having fertility problems and I remember how bad the gushing in the media made me feel just for not being able to do what seems so simple for others.

I remember at the time Mamamia published a lovely post recognising how many women would be finding all the fuss difficult.

    Hang in there.

I hope you get to take the next one home. xoxo

Vent away OP. There is no right or wrong way to grieve for your loss, and no one has the right to tell you what you can or can't say. This is meant to be a safe place to vent. Massive hugs and sorry for your loss xx

Massive hugs, as someone TTC I can totally understand where you are coming from. Having had a close friend PG at the same time I had a MC it was all I could do to smile and congratulate her. So watching all this in the news can be quite hard and leaves you with a feeling of resentment and unfairness.

Don't feel bad feeling the way you do. We all deal differently. So many questions. There lives have no effect on ours yet we get all this shoved down our throats, so sometimes it can be quite hard to swallow.
