Default HCG lowering slowly.. still spotting

    When will this ever end!!
2weeks ago I started bleeding, had a HCG level of 20,000. 5 days later it was 17,000.. then a week and a half later it is 13,000.

I have passed a pretty big clot a week and a half ago…

Do these numbers and times seem normal? If it keeps going at this pace we are looking at another 4 weeks to be at 0… :'(

I just want it gone so I can start again!!

Oh you poor thing! Are you sure it's gone and there's no hope? I had a d&c almost two weeks ago and I'm so glad I did. My little one's hb was gone though, so there was no hope at all. I actually felt much better after my d&c. It was over quickly and painlessly and the hormones were out of my system by the next day. I didn't realise how much they were messing with my head til they were gone. I'm still grieving and avoiding pregnant people etc but at least I feel like myself again.

Haley86, you poor thing :-(. I didn't get blood tests after my d&c but I did continue to have morning sickness symptoms for a good few weeks. It was horrible. Is chastise myself when I momentarily 'forgot' we'd lost the baby. Really messes with your head when the hcg takes ages to go. Lots of hugs, thinking of you xxoo

Did you really Goosey? That's awful. I thought once the placenta was gone there was nothing to create the hormones. How awful for you.

    OP, how are you going?

Is it an option to have a d&c? I don't know how you're coping with this, you must be a very strong lady.

The doctor and I think that the clot I passed on Friday a week and a half ago was the sack… it was a belighted ovum… so no baby anyway.
We are just going to play the waiting game… if they stop lowering, then it is time for a scan and maybe a DnC.
I would rather do it natural… but really what ever my doc suggests I'll probably do.

Thank you! I thought some ladies would be able to relate. Was surprised at the judgy ones but each to their own I guess. I really hope all this is over for you soon so you can get back on the pregnancy track (if that's what you're intending to do)...
