Correct me if I'm wrong but don't they reckon that it's based on a true story....

yes..if I remember, it was based on a true story and the woman spent a lifetime being pursued by the "entity".

horror is my fave genre...so hard to get a good one these days
I agree, Insidious and The Conjuring come to mind as some of the more scary recent ones...The Ring scared the $h!t out of me (the dead chicks face in the wardrobe .....) haven't see Mama...will do so. Event Horizon gave me the creeps...
I remember seeing a number of horror flicks as a kid/tween that scarred me for life (but I watched over and over of course...Evil Dead, American Werewolf in London, Exorcist, Amityville, Fall of The House of Usher (?), Suspiria, When a Stranger Calls....and Slumber Party Massacre)

Thanks to this thread I watched orphan. I enjoyed it! Was more of a thriller than horror but still good. Looking forward to watching some of the others on here but with the lights on

Just a reminder that American Horror Story Freakshow started last night on 11 complete with creepy clown! You might be able to find it online if you missed the first ep. but it's screening at 9.30 Mondays.
