The Shining also freaks me out.

But overall most horrors I don't find too scary.

I'd be curious to see what ones there are mentioned in this thread I haven't seen

Me too! I was a teenager when this came out and still to this day it scares the crap out of me.

I watched a movie called 7500 the other day which was a creepy head trip. Not scary as hell but still good.

Guillermo del Toro has some great scary (not slasher) movies - pans labrynth, the orphanage, mama, don't be afraid of the dark.

@Taiyed The Orphanage made me so sad. Naaaw. Dunno if I can ever watch that one again.

Grave Encounters was soooooo cool, until it wrecked itself a bit. Still, a good watch. There are some great suggestions here. I'm excited for the new movie Annabell. I hope it's not cheesy.
Japanese originals of the scary movies are waaaaayyyy more atmospheric. They do creepy so well!

@LotusMum I watched it before becoming a mum, there's no way I'd be able to watch it now! I can't even watch the news without getting upset

@Taiyed I know right. It's an amazing movie but really hard to watch as a Mum.
