Question Late ovulation and early period

Does anyone else have/had the same problem and what are you doing to correct it. Has it worked?

I ovulate around cd17/18 and AF arrives on 25, it has been like this for the last 5 or so cycles. I have tried taking B6 and Vitex and unfortunately it hasn't seemed to make any difference.

I tried acupuncture this cycle and up'd my dose of b6 and ovulation happened at cd16 however its cd25 and i've started spotting which means af is on her way. Obviously i'm aware i'd need to go more often to acupuncture to make more of a difference.

I need to get a pap done and while i'm there i'm going to ask the doc for a referral to a FS.

Looking forward to hearing from you ladies.

I'm almost exactly the same curlybird. I've been having acupuncture for 6 months and I still don't ovulate earlier than CD16. I also have a 24-25 day cycle. Nothing has worked for me Vitex, herbs from the acu etc. I've just started with a FS who had me on clomid this cycle and I STILL didn't ovulate until CD16. (Although due to lowish oestrogen I was able to start at CD5 instead of having to wait til my next cycle). Yet to find out if my cycle is still 25 days.... Here's hoping I don't find out though

I really hope it has worked for you @theoneandonlyem, looks like i should definitely seek FS help. No point in trying while my cycles are still wacky...

Ask for a blood test to check your progesterone levels. Mine were like this and progesterone was low which you need to sustain a pregnancy. I had to use pessaries and then was fine.

I am O'ing around Cd22/23 and Af is arriving around Cd33, but I have only had 3 real cycles off the pill, and only the last 2 have started to show this pattern - the first was a bit screwy.

I have started on vitex and a b-multi as a precaution but I'm going to give it a few months at least before I look into anything further, as it could just be my body regulating after coming off the pill.

Fingers crossed the dr can give you some info and get things happening fast for you x

Due to test Tuesday (AF is due Monday-Tuesday). My temps have been right on cover line this week so I'm not holding out too much hope. If AF hasn't arrived by wed I'll get bloods taken at QFG to look for a)pregnancy and b) hormone levels. Will just have to wait and see.
