I must have been in the (home)office (above the garage) yesterday when the Australia Post Courier knocked on the door. He left a collection card under the front door.
I bumped into him at midday at the local shopping centre and he said he hadn't put it into the post office yet. I said I'd just come back tomorrow and collect it.
The sweetheart wouldn't hear it and made another run out to my house an hour later to deliver my parcel.
    So kind!

I had thought my GP was a bit cold and distant but I didn't mind - I just thought she was business-like but I did wish for a more human approach. But then at my most recent appointment, after all the medical checks were done, she was asking me if I'd done any exercise whilst pregnant and I said no but that I had been wanting to start soon. She then advised me just to do some brisk walks, not to overdo it, and did this really funny thing with her arms and said "you can just move your arms around, do movements like this, while you're resting". I just lost it, it was so funny and she laughed too. And then she told me I'm going good and that I'm looking beautiful with pregnancy. So it was just a really sweet moment and I got to check myself for making judgements about her, and she showed me her more human side and I feel like I "have" a GP now. Makes all the difference!

For the record I love this thread! All the things mentioned are simple things, haven't taken huge amounts of effort or money but they mean the world to the people that received them. I hope one day I'm the kind person who holds a baby or delivers a parcel for someone and gets written about on bh.

Took DD into town with the pram today & every single time we went to cross the street a driver stopped & waved us through. So nice! Even a tough looking dude on a motorbike.

I had a rough week with ds and dd anyway I took them to subway for lunch the whole time they were smiling and waving at an elderly couple. When the couple were done with their lunch the lady came over and said to me what beautiful children I have and that they are a credit to me as a mother. After the week I has had with then she almost brought me to tears!

I have been having a rough week with dh sick and ds not sleeping and dd being difficult. But today while shopping dd was talking about super heros so we pretended to be super heros while during our shopping. It was so much fun and nice to forget the hard week I have had.

They say it takes a while after starting diet and exercising for people to notice well this week it happened. I have had a few people come up and tell me that I have lost a lot of weight and looking really happy and healthy. After such a crap week last week this made me feel like all my hard work has been worth it

One of the girls in my DIG posted a vent about her DH being out of work and that she had enough formula and nappies for the week but didn't know what she'd do after that. Within a week she'd had formula, nappies and grocery orders sent to her along with a cash amount of $500. I love my DIG, so happy to help someone when they're down on their luck!
