    I think he manages to get out of the car somehow and he disappears until he can prove he's innocent. They can't kill off two Braxton boys.... surely.

    I think.......he swam under water out of sight of the warden that was with him. He's escaped, will lie low then once he's settled somewhere will send for Ricky and Casey, they must go out of it too because there are never small children in home and away they get rid of the family straight away when one is born. In real life he's gone to America so this way it leaves it open for his return
