    Hi Mummy,
WFH is ideal especially with a little one. I started sharing on alternative wellness shortly after I had my girl and the company pays a referral fee. There is a small 'start up' costs but is covered in my first month.

I've always known since before I had my first child (she's now 4) that I wanted to be able to work from home to be able to look after my babies as well.

So what I did was start a small home-based creative business when my first child was 6 months old.

I considered -- by watching Mummy/parenting/buy and sell FB groups that I was a member of -- what products most parents valued for their children that had a better than average potential for a decent profit without the ability for just anyone to copy my idea willy nilly. Then I created those products from scratch with an emphasis on excellent quality, unique designs and the ability to create special orders for individuals.

Just over 3.5 years later, I now have a retail online store and an etsy store that give me all of my retail business. In addition, I create wholesale orders for retail stores Australia-wide. Being handmade, this business does have it's limitations but in addition to providing me with an income to contribute to our household, it satisfies my need for creative pursuits and the knowledge that I've created this business from scratch does my confidence no end of good

Starting a new business, if this is what you would like to do more than anything, is about seeing a need that is not being met by others and meeting that need for your customers with your unique perspective.

    Good luck!

    I've made a little money off Fiverr.com

Pick something you like. For me I did content writing. I started off with the $5 for 500 words. Provided some amazing articles for people to get heaps of 5 star reviews. I then bumped my prices up. I managed get $30 for 300 words (about an hours work) at one stage.

That is one example. If you don't like writing there are heaps of things people are willing to pay money for. Pick one. Keep prices low until you build a solid reputation. Then slowly increase prices. People will pay for quality.

My employer agreed to let me work from home. In my function, work flexibility is becoming a real strength for employing the best talents so I found that employers are willing to think outside the square.

However my kids are in care while I work from home. I wouldn't be able to do a full day of work while having the kids around
