I sat the Qld stat test last year, I found it really hard!! But I scored quite well! I used up all the time, I answered the last question in the last 20 seconds of time! But there were alot if people that finished way ahead of me! So maybe I'm just really slow...
    All the best!

May I ask what your score was? I guess I consider myself to be of average or even slightly above average intelligence, I'm certainly no genius & that is what worries me.

So I just checked out the sample STAT test tonight and yes I see what @Smyles meant when you said it's hard to study for!

So does anyone know of any good resources you can use to prepare? Other than trawling the Web for aptitude tests etc!

I read somewhere that the Naplan maths & English books for high school are helpful.

I did one - I had left high school at 15, so I was very worried about how I would do. But I actually ended up scoring well. It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be.

Just thought I would post an update.

I've decided to do the "Steps" course through CQU, upon completion I am automatically enrolled in my chosen course (nursing), after a yr in nursing I will apply to ACU for my ultimate goal - midwifery. Hopefully I will get RPL for my first year.

I did STEPs and am now doing nursing at CQU. Best idea, I learnt so much in STEPs!! Highly recommend it!!! Yes it adds time to your degree but it's worth it. I've just completed my 8th subject in my degree and I'm doing really really well, much better than I ever thought I would. Good luck and enjoy 😃

I am so glad you found benefit in it.

I'm planning on doing it full time, so it's only an extra term. I work 2 days a week, do you think that is achievable?

It's so daunting, yet exciting to be studying again.
