In Laos we saw these home made tractor things that had open engines and a really long fan belt thing that was totally exposed. I saw one trying to cross a river one day and the fan belt was partially submerged, for the people in the trailer on the back it must have been like going through a car wash with no roof, there was water spraying all over them, the river crossing took a good couple of minutes.

Yep when I was in Fiji we were on a bus and I was really bus-sick. I vommitted into a plastic bag and wasn't sure what to so with it, until the tour guide told me to tie a knot in it and he threw it out the window. Would hate to be the car traveling behind and have that hit my windscreen!

Probably not that strange, but I was highly amused. In Paris I saw a lady walking a ferret under the Eiffel Tower. I though ferrets were pests lol

In Spain we saw a man playing the recorder to his pet tortoise. The tortoise would walk away and then he'd bring him back and do it all over again. I wanted to rescue the tortoise

    Not seen but heard.

On a plane from LAX to Fort Worth Texas. The guy sitting beside me starts telling his friend how he rode kangaroos down the main street in Sydney and in cairns he wrested a 10 foot crocodile that was wondering around town.

    I almost wet myself laughing.

People do strange things with pets. I saw a lady pushing a bike around a market while on holidays and she had a sulphur crested cockatoo on a lead perched on the handlebars!

DH and I did a 6 week trip around UK and Europe a few years ago. We went into a bar in Amsterdam for lunch and a beer. We both had to use the toilet before getting back on the bus so, like many restrooms in Europe, we headed downstairs. Again, very normal to be greeted by an attendant to whom we paid a small fee to use the facilities. We were then ushered into the SAME room only to be separated by a set of saloon swing doors (with no lock) which were so small/short that I could see DH from sitting on the toilet while he was standing at the urinal next to some other random men from the bar! I have never peed'd so quickly and quietly. Mortified.
