Default Spin off - strangest thing you have seen while travelling?

Harvs' post in the things you find funny thread reminded me of an odd thing I saw in Berlin. DH and I were walking about 20 metres behind this man carrying a plastic shopping bag. He stopped suddenly at a drain, started taking cucumber skins out of the plastic bag and placing them in the different slots of the drain (it was a grill type) he then started jumping and stamping them all into the drains. After this he just walked off like it was perfectly normal behaviour. I swear it is one of very few times in my life I have openly gawked at someone. Strange!

So tell me, what is the oddest thing you have seen whilst travelling?

I once saw a monk looking at his reflection in a shop window and fixing his hair. He was a proper monk too with the brown gown, rope and head shaven at the crown. It was early on a Sunday morning and we were the only two people in the street so I think he thought no one was looking. I just never thought a monk would be so vain as to want to fix their hair.

Driving out of Melbourne to Sale and saw a guy with his rice paddy hat on pulling along a cart with a young child in tow. We were nowhere near a town (or any rice fields)

've written this before I think.

On a mini bus in Burma I was sleeping until I was hit by a cold wind. I woke up and noticed most of the windows were open. Then I smelt a bad smell, looked towards the front of the bus and a man was taking a P Ooh in a plastic bag whilst his friend was holding a piece of cloth up for privacy. The man finished his business, the door was opened for a few seconds and he threw the bag out (mini bus in motion). Nobody batted an eye lid.
