I don't tip but you'd be surprised how well the drivers do!

I worked at dominos and the drivers would average $100+ tips on fri/sat nights and 30-50 during the week.

The tips go straight to them and is on top of their normal wage which the award is not terrible for.

What's the difference between tipping a chain or an independent? I only ask because most chains are franchised independently only. They are small businesses as well.

Pizza delivery drivers in Australia are on award wages which are about $18-$22 an hour with allowances.

I sometimes tip. Tonight it's raining where I am so I tipped the driver as it must suck to be out there in this weather.

I'm a tipper. Always have been. I always round up.

One day my kids will be doing a cr#ppy job for minimum wage and I'd like to think they'll get the odd tip here and there.

Probably. But cost of living will be more.

Just reading back I'm surprised I'm in the minority. It's just something I have always done. Not everywhere but it's second nature for me.
