    Default What does your cleaner do?

    We just started using a cleaner and she's great. But... She doesn't dust my wall unit that holds our family photos and memorabilia.

    Do they dust?? I assume they do...
    Also what about under the wall units or buffets where the dust settles? Do they clean that?

    I feel bad as is using a cleaner and so I'd feel terribly uncomfortable telling her what to do...

    My cleaner dusts, to me that is part of the clean.

    My cleaner doesn't make the beds if there not made. I feel too lazy to make a point of asking her to make them but i just thought you would of made them whilst cleaning the room?

    Everything is great, like she cleaned the range hood etc, but ye, just not the wall unit, which I think gets reaaaally dusty.

    Mine doesn't do enough IMO!
    I have to leave a list that says things like "dust everywhere" and "vacuum everywhere"
    But she's cheap and better than me doing it!

    Can I interrupt and ask if people are at home when the cleaner is there? If not they have a key? I am considering hiring a cleaner but either scenario makes me uncomfortable....

    My cleaner dusts. Anything that I feel he's missed I just raise politely next time and he's fine with it. You have to remember you're paying for a service so they need to be doing what you want them to do.

    I'm at home while he's here, although sometimes just to let him in then I go run errands. My previous cleaner always came when I was at work but our building manager let him in as he cleaned several apartments in our building.

    I am home and I hate it! I've been on bed rest so have no choice but to be hanging around but it's kinda awkies. I think id much rather not be here and leave a list and come to a clean house

    I do anything to avoid being home. I even tell the cleaner to come AFTER a certain time so I know to leave the house. I feel uncomfortable being here when they are. I don't really know why! They have a key. It's someone I know outside cleaning though and i've known them for 15 years so I guess that's why i'm more comfortable giving them a key. They're not a stranger.

    I've only had her 2 weeks... 1st week I was out 2nd I was home for about half the time.

    She's a mum of an acquaintance so I figure they're relatively *trustworthy*

    Do your cleaners clean showers? When I clean mine I get in nude and clean it before I have a shower....but I'm gathering this is NOT how cleaners do it...LOL
