We are wanting to do a "barbie" themed party next year for our two daughters....not a birthday party but just a party for both of them and their friends. Does anyone have any pics / ideas for a barbie party ?

Have you checked pinterest? I just did a quick search, and there are heaps of ideas on it. Colour scheme in pink, white and black with some being accents. Pin the bow on the barbie silhouette. Food ideas, decorations, activities. It's all there.

I love planning parties. Unfortunately my budget doesn't often stretch to meet my visions. If I had the opportunity, I'd plan heaps of parties. Barbie would make a great one for my niece actually. She's done Frozen 2 years running, and loves her barbies. If I ever get to plan one for her I'll be sure to post photos for you!

Had a Mario Bros party for my 6yr old in August.

Games were pin the moustache on the mario, yoshi egg hunt, mystery gold box pinata and a mario kart tournament.

Food consisted of fire balls (cheese and bacon balls) and ice balls (mini marshamallows) and chocolate moustaches, crispy power star pops, cupcakes and a yoshi rainbow salad. We ordered mini pizzas from Mario and Luigis Pizzaria. I also filled to glass mason urns with Luigi's lemonade and Capt Toads Tropical Fruit Juice.

DS had his 6th birthday Star Wars party yesterday! I made lightsabers out of foam led light up sticks, bought capes for the kids, personalised party bags and had party entertainers come as Luke Skywalker and a Storm Trooper who did "Jedi training" with the kids for an hour and a half!
