    Default Cot bumpers or similar

My DD will soon be 1 and she moves A LOT in her sleep. She keeps waking herself up by banging her head on the wooden slats :-( and it's really messing up her sleep. I'm a bit worried about getting bumpers due to SIDS but is there anything I can get to help? I heard the air wrap is good for stopping them getting stuck between the bars but will it help with her bashing her head all the time?

I was really worried about SIDS too with DS. He is now 10 months old, moves a lot at night and also has a dummy. I was forever searching behind the cot for the escaped dummies and going in to settle him after bashing into the bars. I don't like bumpers at all (the suffocation relation scares me) but I did end up getting the airwrap ones as they are still able to breath through them. (And stop the dummies from flying out!) It has made it a little softer on his head and he does lean his head against them often. I would definitely try them, it's worth a shot and you know they will be safe to breath etc if up close to them. GL x

We just bought an air wrap. We find it helps a lot so far. The only down side of it tho is that it still leaves some slats open. Dd sometimes makes her way there. There is another one that we are going to get online called breathing space air pad that covers all slats

My son moved into a toddler bed at 13m. If the cot is becoming a problem maybe consider this
