Default Places to MUST see in Japan

My DD (16 years) and I are heading to Japan in less than 28 days!! We're finalising our itinerary now and I'd love suggestions of must see/must do in Japan.

We'll be staying in Tokyo, Kyoto and Hiroshima and go on day trips from there. So far we've got:

    Snow Monkies
Lots of temples and palaces in all locations
    Memorials in Hiroshima
    Miyajima
    Tea ceremony
Nijia house (traditional not tourist place)
    Geisha makeover
    Visit Osaka
    Nara Deer Park
    Sumo tournament
Shibuya & Akihabara districts in Tokyo
    Disneyland ... of course!
    Osaka

    What are we missing?

I am so jealous of you right now... The towers are great, like Tokyo Tower and there's an amazing one in Osaka. If you have time, a day trip to Hakone/Mt Fuji is worth it. And the Hiroshima museum totally devastated me but I'm so glad I went.

I will grudgingly say 'have lots of fun'. Ooh, and take at least one empty suitcase!

We'll have fun! I'll share photos too

So very, very excited - I've never been to Japan. DD's teacher said she would not be taking the school group to the Hiroshima museum (school is going next year), but I feel it is a must see for both DD and I.

I forgot the Towers ... I'll add them to the list.

I'm so jealous! Go to Ueno Zoo in Tokyo. It's incredible and I believe it cost us less than $5 each to go!

I just googled and it costs 600 Yen, my goodness, that is nothing and it looks huge!

    Thank you.

Oh lucky you!!! So much to see in Japan. We loved it. A few highlights of our trip....
    Bamboo forest near Kyoto
    Golden temple Kyoto
We actually hired bikes and rode around Kyoto - it was awesome!
    Hemiji castle (spelling??)
If you are into sea life go to the aquarium in Osaka - it has a whale shark!

So jealous, I loved Japan but only visited for a week.

In addition to what you've got, go to one of the wacky themed restaurants - we went to the Ninja one, it was so fun.

We also went to a sumo training session, it was very cool.

    Mainly I just loved eating!!

I think our hotel hires bikes in Kyoto, we might just have to do that. DD will be so impressed ... lol.

DD, who is a very fussy eater, is really looking forward to all the eating! Apparently we have to try an eel dish that is relish

Arashiyama Bamboo Grove ... is this the one you mean? Looks pretty impressive.

It is close to the Fushimi-Inari-Taisha Shrine which I wanted to see as well.
