My son is so much like me, he hates change so he has basically the same thing every single day or else he wont eat it!

But I send pictures or note I his lunchbox now he can read. He collects them and glues them into a book now

I have a standard guideline but I give a variety of things. Her lunchbox always contains a sandwich/ small bread roll/ home made pizza, a piece of fresh fruit/raw veg/small tub of diced fruit in natural juices, some rice crackers/pikelets and a "treat" which is always homemade such as a honey joy/muffin/brownie slice.
