Nurses said Lynn never usually likes to go to EPU on first cycles.. I don't know that the meds haven't agreed with me because I have more follies this time, just they aren't growing fast enough. I'm not sure whether it should give me some hope that she may be able to get something more out of me in future cycles or not.
@Jem70 - I think yours is a little more promising to be honest. I'm sure your bloods will show there are eggs there.

Okay nurses have just called and Lynn is happy to let me increase my meds to 450iu Menopur, then rescan Monday. We'd be wanting to see a follicle at 12mm by Monday to not cancel. Yay, feel a bit better now.

@Kelly70 3 days to grow - maybe you need to try the hot water bottle on your ovaries theory?

My estrogen is 847 - nurse said that is fine for where I am at but I've had estrogen priming and I've got an estrogen patch so I'm not sure I can read anything - I just need to be patient. Credit to FS that she is willing to come in Sat though to scan - apparently she doesn't want to lose the dominant follicle if the others don't start growing.

Really does that work @Jem70?? I'll try anything!

I'm accepting now that this cycle may be cancelled, I was really struggling with it earlier today (as was my disappointed mum!!). But if so, I'll be very happy to take a couple of months off and start fresh in 2015.

@Jem70 what dose of fsh are you on?

Your e2 levels sound fine I think and will continue to go up. That's how I knew my last cycle that there was a decent egg in that one follie, my e2 levels were at 1600 or so. My e2 levels at the moment are zip. I think I need more fsh in my system as the Elonva wears off after 9 days and I'm on day 16 of stimming.

@Kelly70 I don't know how much the patch influenced that figure so I'm not reading much into it.

It may be an old wives tale but it can't hurt I also read lots of protein - who knows!

I'm only on 450iu menopur now - but that was same last cycle

@Kelly70 why would she put you on expensive Hgh if she doesn't go to EPU first cycle?

Well perhaps they wanted to see if it would influence numbers which I think maybe it did. Not sure but will ask some questions at my next apt. I also thought my fsh should have been upped at the last scan - I know she doesn't believe in high doses in older women but still, it couldn't have hurt. Let's see what the higher dose brings.

I have just seen a very relevant quote from A.A. Milne
'Promise me you'll remember, you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think.'
I think we all need to remember that sometimes.
