All in moderation I say @Kelly70 I will be partaking in a sneaky bubbles or 2 today while the scientists are babysitting my embryos.
I just spoke to the nurse and 5 have fertilised and made it through the night so hopefully they continue to grow big and strong until Monday.

One of my besties has just had her 2nd baby - I was planning on going to visit her in hospital today but am weighing it up in terms of how it might make me feel! So close to new cycle starting. Argh.

Weighing up whether to factor in acupuncture for this cycle - i think you're meant to have it weekly several weeks in advance of your cycle starting - starting this late I'm not sure it's worth it. Maybe a session pre and post transfer I could do (if I get to transfer). Just an added expense and more apts to manage and I'm not sure it will help. Any opinions girls?

So apparently the studies that have shown a benefit from acupuncture have been for pre and post transfer.

My FS says its complete cods wallop, I think it's pretty hokey - but it did it for both transfers and got a BFP both times so I think it's a question of whether you can afford it and whether you'll wish you had done it if it's a BFN.

So Scuba - you just did it pre and post transfer, so a couple of sessions?

Yep. Too stingy to pay for any more than that.

Kelly I did it pre and post transfers for the first 2 cycles then abandoned it for the last 2. I thought it was a waste of money. I wouldn't bother to be honest.

Yeah I've always had faith in natural therapies (actually studied to be a naturopath when I was younger) but at this end of the fertility spectrum I reckon the only thing that's going to help me is science. I think I'll skip it.
