@missalina Geneas price guide shows around $3800 out of pocket for a full IVF or ICSI cycle if you have PHI. It's nearly $10k up front then you get some back from both Medicare and your health fund.

That includes the whole bit - stim and transfer.

There are some extra costs on top of that for an anaesthetist (about 500) and freezing if you produce more than one good embryo (freezing is about $700 and covers you for a year).

If you do make extra embryos and freeze them and then come back for future transfer (so, if the transfer as part of your first cycle doesn't work) it's $1800 out of pocket per transfer. Again it's about $3500 up front and then you get rebates.

@scubagirl omg thank u so much haha I seriously was so confused I thought on top of the ivf it was $1800 for EPU and ET and when I emailed the price lady she said it's for both but I think I mis understood her so then on top of the FET I assumed u pay for the FET plus the $1800 again for using there facility/day surgery place at least it looks abit more affordable now I had in my mind u would pay up 6-7k oop per cycle

I reckon you should just make your first appt with the nurses at genea. They'll look at your cover and give you a written quote to sign before you start so you know what you're up for. Also PM me if you want a recommendation. I love my FS.
