My learning demo is this friday night and my consultant is using the new model. Bit bummed to have missed out on the new model but if my consultant (friends for 13yrs) had known about the new one she would've told me to wait/no stock etc

Personally, I could never justify the money.
Dh and I are foodies and make everything from scratch. We have found our easy recipes and methods over the years and that suits our family lifestyle fine.
We enjoy the process of making a meal come together and seeing every step.
I personally have never felt the need for a thermomix. I don't understand them much, so call me ignorant or whatever but I would not sacrifice the cooking experience over some expensive piece of ugly appliance (that some genius who coral wanted the idea and sucked their audience in, is living the dream!) over my cast iron crock pots stained with flavours.....for anything!

    Personal opinion, no attack intended.

I get home at 6pm to a hungry daughter who needs dinner and has to do her sight words before shes tired.
Dh is out most nights coaching.
I need something that I dont need to stand and stir.
I will still have the "experience" of cooking on weekends. But during the week its not practical

thats fine! I totally get it!
we plan for busy nights. We bulk cook and freeze. Always have, it's kinda habit.
I can see how handy they would be in so many ways but personally and financially, I dont think I would ever require one.

French cook here. I 100% agree with you. We love nothing more than a huge kitchen fill with our iron cast pans and pots. We love cooking and we spent a lot of time gathered around our dining table with friends and family.
That's how French people socialise, around a dinner table for 5 hours!

We'll I got quietly converted during my holiday back home. A friend had taken her thermomix for our holiday in a villa in the south of France. There were 8 adults and 6 kids.
The amount of food thermomix helped us prepared in a fraction of the time was incredible!! Crazy efficient!!

I bought one second hand first thing back in Australia and we love it. Diner for our 1.5yo is ready in 3 min prep and last night I made soup and pear belle helene in 7 min total - cleaning included! Shocking lol

I have my demo on Sunday and might trade the TM31 for the new one depending on the demo. I love the old one.
