Doesn't the existing Thermomix - the TM31 - make them? I thought people were always talking about their risottos!

It's a slightly bigger jug, bigger steamer, digital LCD touchscreen to operate and a feature where you can plug in a recipe chip so the recipes and instructions show on the screen. It's also had auto lock and unlock lids etc. but does the same thing- just an improves version I guess!

Question - since buying a thermie, have any people discarded other appliances?
Guess I want to know if I am able to convince myself and my DH we need one, would I be able to chuck out my food processor, and whether any other appliances would be chucked out??

I got rid of my food processor (which also had a blender and a juicing attachment) and electric beaters. Reminds me that I still have a stick mixer sitting there to get rid of too.

Eeek ? The Kenwood Mixer(that cost $1200?) Oh My ! I love my Kenwood, as it make cakes and baking stuff with it all the time ! So are you saying that the Thermo can whip up a Meringue for my Lemon Meringues or Pavlova's ?

Personally I have been in 2 minds about this for a while as it looks like it just mixes stuff to a mush, like sauces, jams, sorbets, dips, mash potato etc. I dunno. I have a very dear friend that sells them, but haven't been to a demo yet, but have been meaning to go...
