Default *Fluff* Hypothetical Question - Future

~ If someone could tell you accurately where you would be in 20 years but you'd be powerless to change what they tell you, would you want to hear it? ~

I feel like I'd want to know but if I couldn't change any of it, then what good is knowing what happens for the next 20 years?

I'm interested to know your thoughts on this.

    What would you do? Why?

Nope. I'd rather experience it than know what is coming

I wouldn't want to know without the power to change it. It would feel like purgatory.

    Interesting question!

No I wouldn't want to know...the anxiety of actually knowing something is going to happen would be much worse for me than not knowing. Let's face it there would be some bad stuff in the future and I wouldn't live my life properly knowing it was going to happen.

    I'd want to know.

Even if I couldn't change it I'd still be able to plan and prepare myself.

I think it would help me appreciate the good and accept the bad in life instead of focusing on the bad.

Yup! I absolutely would. I don't know if you've read The Time Traveller's Wife, but I won't spoil it just in case. There's a part in there that is so bittersweet and beautiful that comes from the characters knowing something specific about the future.

I think I'd want to know...I hate surprises. I always skip to the last pages of a new book and read the ending, I'm shocking!
