Default Struggling weaning breastfeeding to bottle

    Hi all
My lo is nearly 5 mths breastfed exclusively. We have started solids also.
I would like to slow down breastfeeding as i am returning to work soon.
I've tried a bottle every feed but he flat out refuses it and cracks it every time I offer it.
Any suggestions on introducing the bottle without so much screaming and rejections?

Try getting someone else to give the bottle while you are out of the room or even the house! I've heard that when bubs can smell the breast milk, they reject the bottle.

Also, try different brands of bottle. Are you giving expressed breast milk or formula? Check the temp?

I have Avent and tommi bottles.
I am using formula cause I'm keeping my excess breastmilk to mix in his puree and I'm freezing some too... To aid in digestion I'm hoping helps with constipation if it happens.
He has taken to solids awesome just now need him on bottle.
I'm not sure of temp but it's never cold I try to keep it a nice warm temp.

Hi, wow, I'm having pretty much the same issue, bubs 6 months now. I'm back at work in a few weeks and trying to get little dude to use a bottle or sippy cup... It's just not happening. He is really into his solids but I find if I let him eat too often he won't drink and constipation or 3 days of poos is a constant problem for us. Will take anything off a spoon so I know he doesn't mind formula but just won't take a bottle if it. Could just imagine asking childcare to feed him all feeds with spoon !!! Oh dear.....
