@babygirl7 great to hear you are off the starting blocks! Its good to get an idea of that EPU date. Not long now.
@miissalina yeah it just gets harder to bounce back from. I had a mini meltdown last week but I feel a bit better this week....probably because I am in the thick of injections and ultrasounds etc plus not having this cycle cancelled has buoyed my mood. I am still very pessimistic about this cycle however and I've started believing our family won't be getting any bigger.

I had my first ultrasound on friday that showed 18 follicles, a huge relief after my last cancelled cycle. I've got my second ultrasound tomorrow, find out if I trigger tomorrow or tuesday night.

Good luck fellow undergrads and I hope the pregnancies and babies are going well with everyone else

@Bongley that's such great news I no u were worried about the cycle being cancelled again so the fact you've got 18 is such a good result 😊
Hmmm yes it does get harder to bounce back I kinda thought in a weird way it would get easier because I would no to expect but I was very very wrong I actually started to think I wasn't going to come out of it I was literally depressed such a horrible feeling, how exciting finally ur getting close to EPU must be feeling like forever since you cycled last
I have every bit of faith you'll get a new addition to ur family we will be wonder women by the end of this

Thanks, it is good so far but I know my numbers always start great and then dwindle to 1 blasty to transfer none to freeze. Live in hope I guess.

Yeah, when IVF works it is amazing and the best thing you ever did. When it doesn't it just brings out the worst feelings of failure and insecurity and fear. I hope you get a BFP from your frosties soon.
    When do next cycle @miissalina?

Hopefully it works for us soon so we can be on that high, will make the lows seem all worth while 😊
Had to have one cycle off so should do a transfer end of October she wants to do a medicated FET again I guess it doesn't matter if it's medicated or natural maybe it'll do me good to have a full cycle off let my body detox from all the drugs
Have u ever gotten such a high number of follicles before? Hopefully u can get one to freeze at least would be nice not to have to go through the whole process every time just hoping my two frosties thaw ok my last two frozen one didn't thaw properly so we used the other and it was bfn so I'm guessing that embryo didn't like thawing either

@miissalina yes, I remember the first IVF I did I got 28 follicles on my first scan. Yowza. Was also my worst result with 7 eggs collected and a 5 cell on day 3 transferred. I've been averaging around 24 follicles, this cycle might be a bit more, should find out tomorrow. I'm very used to the scientists telling me none to freeze. I would keel over in shock if I got a frostie I think.

Yes, when you get a BFP its all worth it of course. If someone would say, do full stim IVF 8 times and you'll get a baby then it would be easy(ish!). Its the not knowing that is so hard.

for your embies to survive the thaw. The ones that do will be nice and strong, I know the last one didn't make it but the odds are moving in your favour. Keep going, I have faith you will get there too.

Hi @babygirl7 great news that AF finally showed up...are you still on track to start injecting tomorrow? @Bongley EPU still scheduled for my birthday?! I am hoping it being you lots of luck and lots of eggs, I know you don't expect frosties but it would be awesome if you could get one or two @Agirllikemel how are you travelling? @miissalina how do you feel, has having a month off helped? I think sometimes it can bea good thing as its gives your body a break from all the drugs. Hopefully your next one will get you your BFP...are they doing anything different for you?

    Hope @Rice @katiana @Bellydance @frogpossum @Nezz79 are all going well
@Megsarama26 thinking of you and the FB updates are a great idea, hope you guys are doing well

AFM, got diagnosed with gestational diabetes last week which upset me a bit, I think because it was so unexpected. I have to meet with a 'diabetes educator' tomorrow and am on a strict diet (which I am finding a little hard as I just seem to crave sugar 24/7). My ob said it's unlikely he'll let me go to term but its better that its been picked up and they're aware of it. I think they'll give me a couple of weeks to see if I can control it with diet and if not then I'll have insulin but I'm not sure how long for

    thinking of you all

@Molros sorry about your diagnosis. Hope you can get it all under control with the diet. A lady I work with had GD and she said between the diet and her morning sickness she lost loads of weight (she wasn't overweight to begin with), even though she was carrying twins! Yipes. I hope the rest of your pregnancy goes a bit more smoothly.

Is your birthday on the 25th? Then yep, thats when I've got my EPU.

@Molros sorry to hear about your GD. Did they say how much in advance they would want to deliver or is it a matter of wait and see?
I seem to be finally over the worst of my ms thank goodness but with that has come cravings for sweet food. I am conscious of not eating too much sugar to try to avoid GD but after so long of barely being able to face eating anything it is hard to deprive myself now when I want chocolate!
@Bongley good luck for EPU on the 25th. Not long now.
