I just melt chocolate in some hot milk and add sugar to taste. Not very low energy but no additives either

I make hot choc using warmed milk, cocoa powder, medjool date, blended together. The kids love it.

Could I ask what a medjool date is?

Okay, so I already have some plain cocoa at home to try. Have fruit sugar in the cupboard but bought some stevia to try.
I used to drink the natvia hot choc before falling pregnant but the blighters have put the kids' one up to the same price as the adults' hot choc one now and is over $6 when it used to be $4 - booo! Because it tasted the same.
Looked all over shop and then asked someone and our local store doesn't sell cacao and the health food store at those shops went belly-up ages ago, so will try the next closest just before school pick up if it isn't raining...again.

Medjool dates are so yummy, super sweet and caramel taste. They sell them at coles, woollies, some fruit shops etc.
You probably only need half a date for 1 mug.
