    CakeyMumma, Rice in the microwave: Rinse the rice thoroughly in water first, get rid of the starch etc.

    Then 1 cup of rice to 1.5 cups of water and microwave for 8 mins, give it a fluff up with fork before serving. If you find it a bit watery still, just give it a few more minutes in the microwave.
