    Hello ladies

Another neupogen question - can anybody who has used it during pregnancy tell me how long you used it up till? I think Dr M said 7 weeks for me but I can't quite remember. Perhaps it's different lengths for everyone? Just trying to figure out how much more I need to get. As an fyi Dr M said G can ask his patients who have some leftover to sell it on, as most people don't need to order the whole 10 vialls again and maybe just need an extra viall or two. Thanks xx

@Legwarmer, I finished neupogen about 11 weeks with the last few doses done on alternate days. When I spoke to Dr M about 10 weeks he asked how many doses I had left and just advised me to finish it all then stop. So hopefully he's happy for you to finish when it runs out so you don't have to buy more. Hope all is going well.

Thanks @ladybug14 I'll try and speak to him or ask G to ask him for me asap because my next infusion is due the day I run out of neupogen and it'll be too late to ask him then. Another question: did you generally just chat to Dr M at your infusions (if you had them?) or did you book phone consults every so often? Not sure how often I should be talking to him at the moment... I'm having weekly bloods but he said he'll just get in touch if anything is amiss with those, otherwise to assume all is OK.

Thanks hopefulcnd it's good to know if you push Gavin will do it. My problem with maroubra is my insurance doesn't cover much so if it's at the day hospital I have to pay $950 just for the bed, whereas dr m charges 650 for intralipids and my phi covers the bed costs. 3.5 hrs sounds pretty quick too, it takes about 7 hrs with dr m so I'd be concerned it wasn't being done properly.

Yes I know he is away in dec/jan. We are cycling at the moment, hopefully epu will be next week. We have a follow up booked for 27 nov and I'm hoping to start another long down with AF at late d&c/early jan so we can start injecting in late jan/ early feb which will fit in with his holidays!

@Legwarmer a few of dr m's patients that I speak with say they were on Neupogen till 9 weeks. I think @mgcbertie got hers from Campbelltown ridiculously cheaply? I know it was talked about a couple of weeks ago so if you search you might find it.

Chiefsgirl... yes, I got my Neupogen for $1400 from Pharmasave, on the ground floor in the middle part of Macarthur Square, Campbelltown. I ordered it one day and it was there the next day. The chemist was a bit blown over by the cost, and then when I paid for it the next day, the cashier queried if it had been written down correctly!

Interestingly, my problem now is that I can't find a chemist with any stock of Dexmethsone (0.5mg). I bought the last one from the same Pharmasave, and I've been to half a dozen other chemists, and they're all saying the same, that the supplier is out and won't get any more until the beginning of January! They can all get the 4mg dosage, but it can only be cut into quarters, whereas I'm taking 0.5 morning and night. So I have to ring Dr M, see if I can take a quarter of 4mg (1mg) just once a day and have the same effect. And then get him to send me a prescription for that!

@MGCbertie I've been dealing with same issue with dex being in available from the supplier until end of jan I eventually found a chemist who had stock on the shelf and filled all 5scripts so I have a decent supply maybe spend some time just calling chemists and asking if they have any on the shelf I found the large chemists like oze pharmacy and chemist warehouse were out but when I went to the little privatly owned they had stock I was in a mini panic last week due to this so I have 5bottles now because I no I'll need them

    Hello

I actually got my original neupogen for a good price too - $1385.69 from Chemist Warehouse on the Central Coast. If you can call that kind of money a good price! Waiting for a phone apt with Dr M to tell me when I need to stop the neupogen. But I'm going to try and see if any of his patients have a couple of vials left over that they don't need to sell on to me, rather than having to pay that amount again for a whole new order of 10 vials, as think I may only need 2 or 3 of them. As far as I know you can't get them from the chemist in any less than a 10 vial box. Agh, so much money involved.

That's such a pain about the dex.

Yes there is a shortage on dex as there was a recall.

But a lady in another group I am in said she heard mid dec should see stock back on shelves.
