@Scruffy, Dr M should be able to fax a copy of a script to a pharmacy so you could get the doxy tomorrow. I'm not sure though if he'd say to take it being so close to transfer. Maybe call G.

Welcome @operationbabyg, hope your immune journey is a quick and successful one. The ladies here are an amazing c source of knowledge and support.
@kiwi76, how are you and little Ryan doing? Hope you're home safe and sound and enjoying lots of newborn snuggles.

Can anyone tell me why some of you take Doxy. I used to take it with my FS when I was doing OE but Dr M hasn't prescribed it to me for my DE cycle.

Miss Sagi, not sure about the doxy (probably why I forgot it this cycle!) I think it's something regarding preventing infection with transfer??

Ladybug - good idea to chase G and maybe fax a script. I'll call and see what she / he says tomorrow

I believe the antibiotic is taken to decrease the risk of infection from the catheter at egg collection which is more likely, due to a suppressed immune system from the prednisone.

Or eliminate any existing infections which could prevent implantation

Miss Sagi..... I agree with the above comments about doxy, and never researched it much, as I understood that it's got something also to do with matching up with the DH's sperm, and that's why I didn't need to have it (because we're having donor eggs and donor sperm). So I think because you're using DEs, that's why you don't need it. And also makes sense because we're not doing an EPU.

I tried calling G all day yesterday and today and nothing but voicemail. Left a msg and hoping to hear back soon regarding intrallipids :/

Good luck for transfer Scruffy! Does your fs perform it under ultrasound guidance?
