Hey lovely ladies! Get this, my GP told me that she went to a full day seminar that Genea did for GPs the other week and they included NK cells in their talk... also the acupuncturist at Genea I went to yesterday, when I told her I had immune issues said, "oh yes the NK cells?"... So lah-de-dah they seem to be talking about it now out in the open... it's a step up considering my GP had no clue what I was talking about when I informed her of it all and asked for my referral to Dr M late last year. I even photocopied the first 2 chapters of Dr Beer's book for her!
It still annoys me so much, I feel my FS has a bad attitude to me now because I got the biopsy without his say so and now he "has" to prescribe me steroids as he said. I haven't told them I'm seeing Dr M, if I am lucky enough to have another baby I will send them a letter outlining the immune protocol I actually did.
Why must girls in Australia suffer when in the USA, UK and Europe immune treatment is widely accepted and practiced?!!! I truly believe every women who presents at an IVF clinic should have immune work up and biopsy as standard, not after 3 miscarriages, especially when it is "unexplained" or the patient has thyroid or auto immune issues etc already... GRRR!
Thanks goodness we have each other!!! Something funny - when I had the transfer yesterday I freaked for a few minutes thinking my FS would see the hideous clexane bruises I already have (he doesn't know I started it early per Dr M this cycle) but of course even the nurse doing the ultrasound didnt see them as they were concentrating on the transfer - whew! Was dreading having to tell him yesterday to his face but I would have if he'd noticed and questioned it.
Legwarmer thanks for the update on neupogengate!!! glad it is working out, staying on the pill is a good idea, start when you're calm and 100% ready!
