Hopefully.... good luck with EPU on Monday. There's nothing you can do now, so don't worry about the number of follicles you have. I've heard a number of stories over the years of follicles that were hidden on the ultrasounds, and that more eggs were picked up on EPU. In any case, it's about the number of mature eggs, so a small number of mature eggs, is always better than heaps of immature ones that grew too quickly.

Does anyone know if the IVF clinic in South Africa (CFC) does IVIG infusions, as well as the Intrallipids that they do do?

Thanks @MGC Bertie - the clinic called and my fs wants me to continue and do another scan on Monday and hope some of the smaller ones caught up... If we do epu Wednesday it's day 17 and I'm scared it's too late... That and I'm going to lose my big ones as they will die off so freaking out my small ones won't grow!!!! I am upset tonight (and I am not 100% so it doesn't help) my first cycle was cancelled due to poor response so I just have that fear

Hopefully....unfortunately in some cases you just have to go with what your FS recommends. My cycle lengths ranged all over the place, but one of mine was also 17 days, and out of 5 decent follicles on that cycle, he got 2 mature (and 2 immature) eggs, so I wouldn't say all is lost. Those 2 eggs did both fertilise and both looked good on 3dt, so anything can happen.

Also has your FS tried different stimming protocols as maybe your follies are growing too quickly? I recall a mineral or vitamin that helps with maturity but can't remember what it is... Maybe google for that. Also take high doses of coq10 600-900mg per day...failing all that it could be your eggs, like SoClose says, try to be realistic about your eggs... I wasn't and we've moved to donor, I'm now 43 but did miraculously have a son at 39/40 with only 2 embies at day 3. Good luck, maybe get a second FS opinion???
Thank you preciousHeart. I am taking CoQ10 and a plethora of supplements. I am on the light side, so I am trying to gain a bit of weight. I have not been tested for insulin resistance and might be something to look at.
Of the 4 cycles, it has been, different I suppose. I am on high dosage of stimming meds, 450 menupor, the last time.
I've got a blood test tomorrow, to see if I can start on a long down regulation cycle. The previous ones have been antagonist.
And yeah, I know we have to be realistic as to whether my eggs are up for it or not.
How did your cycles go if you don't mind my asking?

Overall, thank you girls for sharing your stories.

Thanks Bertie - I guess last cycle I had 6/7 on ultrasound and we ended up getting 10 eggs and 9 mature on day 16... My levels are very similar this cycle so hopefully we will get similar eggs I will be gutted if we get less then 9 mature do follicles.... This is so hard and I just keep feeling I just want a break.. I now take so many vitamins etc... I am praying Monday u/s is ok and confirmed I can trigger Monday night

Hi Hope, my cycles the last 18 months were 1x grade 1 embie day 3 transfers (twice - not on immune treatment so both bfn) then 1 follie twice & eggs didn't fertilise so we stopped & found a donor. From age 37 to 39 I got 1 or 2/3 follies & 1 or 2 embies for 4 cycles & had my bub on cycle 4 - had 2 miscarriages with previous cycles both around 7/8 weeks. Blocked tubes, loads of fibroids and high FSH.... VERY blessed to have our bub.

Hi soclose, I'm taking 2 0.5 mg tablets a day. Up until 13 weeks and then weaned down for 1/2 weeks at half the dose.

    Best wishes for your transfer
